Great little demo packed up tightly here. Shows quite a lot of promise. I was saying that it should be funded on Kickstarter while I was making the video, and now it is! My two biggest desires would be some sort of progression/unlockables/exp (seems to be planned) and a cursor showing the center of your swarm. I got lost a few times waiting for the camera to catch up to wherever I centered my swarm. Looking forward to seeing how it expands in the full version!
Thanks :) yeah you'll be able to collect coins from villagers and use them to unlock apostels. To unlock new minions you'll have to do certain tasks. A cursor for the center of the swarm will be in the options as toggle-able.
Super fun game! Really enjoyed the lovecraftian vibe and the swarming mecanics. I do feel like the swarm can start getting a bit out of hand though, they like to just kinda go off on their own and get lost especially if there are multiple enemies. Had practically half my swarm get killed in my video because they went off to do their own thing off screen which was kinda frustrating. Never the less, love the game and can't wait to play the full version! Hope you enjoy the video!
Hey! Thanks so much for the video! Yeah we're gonna make the tutorial a lot better so one gets a better understanding of how the minions function and how the "ai" works. It's generally quite bad to rush from one concentrated battle to the next immediately, instead gathering up and then doing a hard hitting push - later on when the levels get really hard it's super important. Minion selection pauses now and if you don't hold attack minions will actively avoid fire (we'll probably put something about that in the tutorial also) ;)
I really liked the whole horde of minions concept. The current minion types are nice and diverse adn I hope that other types will follow suit. One complaint I do have thouhg is how the minions dont like to stay together. I think they should all still move about semi-independently but I think they should stick together allot more then they currently do. Maybe even add a button to call them all together. But never the less I still enjoyed this game and would definetly reccommend cheking it out.
Hey thanks so much for your feedback. We're for sure gonna try and make the horde of minions feel better as the development goes along. At the moment we're focusing on making more levels, the UI, and the real bosses ;) . Glad to hear you liked it.
It needs something marking where the center of your swarm is. It's easy to have your swarm sort of running into a wall for a few minutes, without realizing what you're doing wrong. Otherwise, good concept! (don't have the patience for it, but loved the game during the time I played it)
Yeah we're gonna add an option for that (that's how we had it at first but made it invisible until we have the option set up). We'll also buff up the tutorial so one is really prepared and understands how the swarming "ai" works.
Great concept, I've always loved games where you play as the bad guy. Dungeon Keeper, Overlord, War for the Overworld, Evil Genius... and now we can add Sea Salt to that list!
I had a blast playing through the demo, really intrigued to see where the story is going to go and which other places we get to smash up! Oh, and which other minions and apostles are heading our way too. Hope the Kickstarter target gets smashed so we get to play the full game!

Think there's any chance of a Switch release?
The switch release came out the same day as the pc release
Yea, if you're in the US it's out on Switch already, for Australia and Europe it'll be out on the 22nd of Oct.
This is wild. Really well made and really fun to play!
Haha Thanks Schmidt. Glad you think so :)

No problem about the feedback. Nice to see you focused on more content and some issues. I hope the development of this game goes well!

Thanks dude!
We hope the Kickstarter target gets smashed too - especially since we really need it!
Nice Okhlos-like vibe and I definitely like the setting. :) Bring on the Kickstarter!
