A downloadable game for Windows

Parasites know  that the best place to infect people is at underground raves.

Don't kill (hang) the DJ or the obliviously high dancing civilians.... unless you have to.

We made this for Global Game Jam - Simply, we wanted to experiment with 3d in gamemaker.

The song Transmission is by Joy Division (and we don't own the rights) and released by Factory.

Bloody good this is! Really liked how much impact the weapon had coupled with the monster gibs. Makes you feel like your weapon really packs a punch

I didn't like how there was no strafing, it felt a bit unusual moving around the levels due to this, along with the way your character sticks to walls which made it difficult to navigate around corners sometimes.

I really liked the music, you can never go wrong with a bit of Joy Division. But I don't think it really fits the setting of "underground rave" at all haha. I think I was expecting some heavy techno or drum and bass!

thanks man! if you liked this maybe ud like our game Post Void (on steam) kinda same vibe but you can strafe! and the music is more fitting and it's in full technicolor. ;) Cheers J n C

Just watched the trailer, looks sick! I can see it's on sale at the moment so I might pick this up.

Just out of curiosity is it available on a platform other than Steam?

Good game

Awesome Game, i loved it :D

This was a hella lot of fun, but the way the tension and audio was ramping towards, I could't help but feel/expect some wort of twist was gunna happen; like what if it was revelevd he was high on drugs and he went on a shooting rampage or something, lol. Still, awesome work guys

Fun game, the music was a pleasant surprise - I love Joy Division! Only killed two civvies on my first run, the rest I either managed to save, or they turned into mutants. Still, very nice game. My only complaint is that it's so short.

we might... Ooohhh hooow we might! We might so much that maybe we will! But with so much will and so much might we could get crushed under our own weight. We wouldn't want that. No. Not that. But we might!

Doom like is right! Reminds me a bit of my childhood with games like doom, and duke nuke em! The rave music is un-nerveing  i'm sure it's suppose to be that way to set the tone. The parasites are creepy they gave me the jitters. The only thing to nit pick about this is the controls. Movement is weird and, you literally have to akward turn to do anything. I shoot one of the civilians on purpose at the end  because he didn't turn off the rave music!

yeah we were messing around a bunch with the controls trying to just make it fast and kind of wild. We changed the field of view which affected the sensitivity of looking left and right. I'd say it's a bit too sensitive now (and has no acceleration on it) but it somewhat adds to the strangeness of the whole thing. :P

Glad you liked it tho. If we ever make another doom-like, and spend more than 2 days on it, we'll make the controls super tight.

Loved the game, great style to it, i had quite a few goes at completing it. I hope you don't mind i did a Lets Play of it along with some other gems from Itch

no not at all that's awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!

I really did, its a great looking game. Thanks again!

Holly Crap,

I've just had a quick play and this game is awesome. It even has transmission by Joy Division playing as the background audio track (I didn't read the description before playing, I never do lol) in it although I'm a little worried about doing a video due to copyright violation.

Shall I do a video and swap the audio track for you guys or shall I ask Peter Hook (he is in my twitter friends list) what he thinks although I suspect that the track is most likely owned by factory records.

Top notch

Best off replacing the music. Even if the creator of the music is fine with you using it, the right's holders usually don't bother - and you'll get automatically content ID's on Youtube, or VOD muted on Twitch,

I thought so as well.

Thanks for getting back to me and good luck.

but how do you replace the music? (the in game Music)

kinda complicated.

You'd first have to extract the .exe itself, and then use a method of extracting the data.win file, and repacking it sans-music.

hey! that's a good question. Never thought about it. I saw someone gave you an answer, I guess that's the best way to go about it.

(thanks, happy you enjoyed it)
